Q & A with Nicole - Renovations

Q. Hi Nicole, We’re getting ready to sell our house and have limited funds to renovate. We have committed to doing the kitchen but our bathroom is dated with terracotta tiles that I’m not sure what to do with? Thanks, Caroline

Hi Caroline, I think the kitchen is a great choice and will definitely give you the best return on investment when it comes to renovating for sale. Fortunately, now there are some great options for resurfacing of bathroom tiles.

Having the tiles sprayed in a white or neutral tone and maybe replacing a vanity or shower screen can make huge difference and whilst it isn’t the same as having a new bathroom, if done properly it can remove the dated bathroom as an objection as buyers will not see an immediate need to replace it.

It’s always a good idea to add some greenery and accessories to further complete the look. Good luck with your renovations!
